Paul McCartney returns to Rio on the 12th for a one night performance on the stage of the HSBC Arena, as part of his tour of Brazil. The ex-Beatle brings his “Out There! Tour”, which has already appeared in 40 cities all over the world with songs from all phases of his career. In a performance lasting around three hours, the pop idol will sing 40 songs, including some of the greatest successes that made history over the last 50 years. Besides classics from the Beatles, Wings and his solo career, Paul will also be bringing his new singles “New”, “Queenie Eye” and “Save Us”, from his last studio album, “New”, released last year.

At age 72, the idol attracts fans of all ages and his concert audiences are made up of various generations. Paul has sung with the same band for the last 10 years and he is happy to use modern technology. The concert at the HSBC Arena will have latest generation mega-screens and lighting effects.

After the ex-Beatle, the boys from the rock band Arctic Monkeys will have their turn, giving their first complete concert in the country – on the 15th. The band has been in Brazil before, but only to play in festivals. The Arctic Monkeys jumped into the international spotlight when they played at the opening ceremony for the London Olympics in 2012.

The multifunctional format of the HSBC Arena has been attracting the greatest spectacles – both with Brazilian and foreign artists – who also choose the space for its comfort. Totally air-conditioned and with various different configurations, the HSBC Arena can host any type of event, of any size. Built to strict international standards, equivalent to the best venues in the world, HSBC Arena was the only space in Brazil approved to host one of the matches in the NBA Global Games 2014, between Miami Heat and the Cleveland Cavaliers, which took place in October.
